How it all started
Three Walthamstow friends sharing a drink during the height of Covid-19, during the Summer of 2020 reminiscing about missing the live music East London usually brings especially in this troubling time.
They launched into conversation about needing a revamped and diverse music show inspired by Later with Jools Holland and so "For the Music" was born to uplift its audience with songs, tunes, rhythms and creative visuals, not just for pure entertainment, but for a sense of unity and hope.
Wanting to go one step further they decided that it should be made by locals of Waltham Forest showcasing the talents of East London.
What is For The Music?
For The Music is a platform which aims to provide local artists from East London the opportunity to make their stamp and solidify their presence in the music scene.
Not only in front of the camera but behind the scenes as well.
A platform for the locals produced by the locals, which brings a variety of London's musical talent from different genres together and places them in a live lounge setting allowing them to network and be inspired by each others sound.
It is then recorded and edited together as an episode which is released online for the audience to see, free of charge!
